The Anglia was born in 1956. I have owned the Anglia for 14 or is it 15 years now. Always been street driven. In fact to date I have never trailered it to York Raceway (my home track).
2100cc Pinto, with forged pistons, twin Weber 45s, wild cam (although flexible enough to use on the street), big valve head, Wizard of Nos direct port nitrous kit, Ford Type 9 5 speed box, 105E axle, street tyres.
The nitrous is not used for Sportsman-et racing just some extra fun in a heads up class (Hot Rod) I run at York.
Best time of 14.09 without gas at York (quicker than SPR or SCR despite trying hard), 13.3 with 75bhp jets again at York.

About Stephen Gilmour
Started racing at about the age of 8 down our street on push bikes against the other kids on the block. No such thing as junior dragster in the late 60s. The bike to beat was my sister’s which I could always borrow. Then there is a considerable gap until I bought the Anglia.
Been racing at York for a number of years in Sportsman et and used to compete in NSCC, although this season started to race at SPR and SCR.
2001 and 2002 PDRC Sportsman et champion, 2002 PDRC overall champion.
Day Job
Alternative energy engineer
Team Sponsors
Aire and Sun Power Systems - alternative energy system suppliers, including solar and wind systems
Other hobbies!
Music (including mixing techno and drum ’n bass fairly badly, gigs, festivals etc), swimming to keep my sylph like figure, reading, beer (not really a hobby but it does seem to take up a fair bit of my time).
Future Plans
Plans for 2008 are to 13s without gas and 12s with and to race a full season in Sportsman-et at York, SPR and SCR, money and event clashes permitting.
